These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern membership of SONG (Shaky’s Official News Group) and the purchase of merchandise provided by HEC Limited t/a SONG (Shaky’s Official News Group), PO Box 298, Wallasey, CH27 9FZ, United Kingdom.

By applying for or purchasing a membership, or by purchasing merchandise, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Fan Club Membership
2.1 Membership Acceptance and Discretion

Membership of SONG is offered at the sole discretion of HEC Limited. We reserve the right to accept, refuse, suspend, or terminate any membership application or existing membership at any time, with or without notice, and without obligation to provide a reason.

Where a membership is refused or terminated, any fees paid may be refunded at the discretion of SONG. Such refusal or termination shall not give rise to any entitlement, compensation, claim, or continued access to fan club benefits, services, or information.

2.2 Membership Term

Unless terminated earlier in accordance with these Terms, membership is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

2.3 Membership Benefits

Membership benefits may include, but are not limited to:

  • Eligibility to purchase member-only merchandise
  • Receipt of a membership pack (where applicable)
  • Access to fan club information, updates, and communications

The availability and content of membership benefits may vary from year to year and are subject to change at the discretion of SONG.

2.4 Membership Packs

Where a membership pack is included, it normally contains items such as:

  • Photo
  • Wristband
  • Pencil
  • Information card

The contents of membership packs are not guaranteed and may vary.

2.5 Overseas Membership Packs

Overseas members may elect not to receive a physical membership pack in order to avoid customs duties or import charges. This option is made available during checkout where applicable.

2.6 Renewal and Reminders

Memberships do not renew automatically. Renewal reminders may be sent via email (using Mailchimp). It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that their contact details, including email address, remain accurate and up to date.

Failure to receive a renewal reminder does not constitute grounds for refund or extension of membership.

2.7 Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Credit and debit cards processed via Stripe
  • Wise bank transfer (where offered and applicable)
  • Cheque or Postal Order (UK members only)

Memberships paid by Cheque, Postal Order, or Wise bank transfer will remain on hold until payment has been received and cleared.

2.8 Use of Membership

Membership is personal to the named individual and must not be shared, transferred, or used by any third party.

Members must not:

  • Share login credentials or membership access
  • Allow non-members to benefit from membership privileges
  • Share or publish fan club-only information, communications, or materials

Any misuse of membership may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership without refund.

3. Merchandise

3.1 Availability

Merchandise items, including CDs, apparel, and printed materials, are offered subject to availability and while stocks last.

3.2 Calendars

Calendars are offered for a limited period each year, typically between late November and early December. Once withdrawn, calendars will not be available again until the next release period.

3.3 Product Descriptions

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. Minor variations in colour, packaging, or appearance may occur and do not constitute a defect.

4. Pricing & Payment
4.1 Prices

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated. Overseas customers are responsible for any applicable local taxes, customs duties, or import charges.

4.2 Payment Security

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe, which is PCI-compliant. SONG does not store or have access to payment card details.

4.3 Currency for Overseas Payments

Where applicable, Stripe handles currency conversion automatically. For certain European customers, Wise payment links may be offered for specific products only and are subject to limitations outlined at checkout.

5. Postage & Delivery
5.1 Dispatch

Items are typically dispatched via Royal Mail.

  • Membership packs: usually within 28 days of purchase
  • Merchandise: usually within 7 days of order
  • Calendars: within 7 days of receipt from our printers

Dispatch times are estimates and not guaranteed.

5.2 Delivery Times

Delivery times vary by destination. Delays may occur due to postal disruption, customs processes, strikes, or seasonal demand.

5.3 Customs Declarations

For overseas shipments, customs declarations are completed accurately based on item contents and declared value.

5.4 Lost or Undelivered Items

If an item does not arrive, members should contact us so that an investigation can be initiated. Replacement items may be offered at the discretion of SONG once postal investigations are concluded.

6. Returns & Refunds
6.1 Memberships

Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or where a refund is issued at the discretion of SONG.

6.2 Merchandise

If merchandise arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

6.3 Incorrect Addresses

SONG is not responsible for delays or loss resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery details provided at checkout.

7. Intellectual Property

The names “Shaky”® and “Shakin’ Stevens”® are registered trademarks. All logos, designs, images, written content, and materials associated with the fan club remain the property of their respective rights holders and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on this page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
